About this business
Joe believed that good food at a good price would bring folks in. He was right. We feel the same way. We still use only fresh ground beef and fresh chicken (and we're still using Joe's original Famous Fried Chicken recipe). The famous Parkette sign was built in 1957 and is a symbol of Lexington and stands as a monument overlooking New Circle Road., ready to serve all that pass by. The sign itself is a landmark and a point of reference for this section of the city.

I am from Tennessee and this time last year we happened to be in Kentucky for very unfortunate reasons. We came to order and they got our order switched and we waited for a long while. I got the fish basket that I really didn't like. Why am I rating it as a 5 star? Well after turning the lights off on us to make us question why our food wasn't prepared the nice cook went out of his way to prepare our food and found me some extra funnel cake fries. If you could eat "Atmosphere", this would be a great restaurant. Nice waitress, and good decor. The food? Not so much. The "Poor Boy" was bland, and not very filling. I can now say I've eaten there. Unless they upgrade the beef patties, and bring flavor to the sandwich, I won't be back.

I had a great experience. The day was fun the food was fabulous. The staff was friendly and helpful. The decor is special and timeless.
we had a school group of about 50 and the service was fast and food was great and the workers were fun and easy to get along with.
