Receptionists need a lesson or 10 in customer service! Following my telephone appointment my doctor instructed me to arrange an ECG and blood test with reception, the awful telephone line kept trying to refer me to the website but when I eventually got through I said why I was calling and they rudely butted in, I was being perfectly polite so I asked if I could finish my sentence and they instantly went on defensive telling me to calm down, really felt like they were trying to provoke a reaction so they didn’t have to deal w... read more
After recently moving to the area and registering with this surgery (which took nearly 5 weeks to register), I called up and spoke to the most rudest, unhelpful and nasty receptionist about being unable to attend a face to face appointment due to health reasons (which I explained my conditions), she did not care and told me to go register at another doctors as I had to have a mandatory blood test (which I declined) or I would not be registered as a new patient. Excellent service, the staff are so caring, appointments are always given when my aged parents need them. Dr Lee is always following up the care with a telephone call.
This surgery is like going back in time to the horrible years of Covid. I’ve visited hospitals and dentists which have gone back to the friendly “would you like to make another appointment” on your way out, this place you still have to leave via the back door! And there is never anyone waiting and you never see another member of staff walking the corridors. Never like leaving a bad review and look for some positives to make it a 2 or 3 star review, but there just aren’t any anymore. 14 years ago when I joined the surgery it was incredible; Dr Turpin, the nurses and reception were impeccable. I had just started to have heart problems, kicked off with multiple blood clots. Hull Royal saved my life and everyone at Parkview carried that on, they always had time, Dr Turpin was not afraid to turn a 10 minute appointment into 20, 30 and more minutes.
