The river view is very nice if you don’t look too close. There are a lot of homeless people living in the park and along the river. Parking is a problem and loading is difficult on the street. There is one loading spot and someone is always there. The building looks good and I did not see any obvious maintenance problems. It is a bit of a bright corner and the apartment didn’t have blackout curtains. Trash was picked up twice while I was there at 4am. It was extremely loud. I don’t think I will stay here again. Amazing iconic building built in 1965. The external architecture is unique mid-century modern. I stayed in the penthouse which had amazing views of the Sierra, Truckee River and downtown. Close to downtown and within walking distance to the art museum, casinos, and mid-town, yet the unit was quiet due to cement walls and hallways. There was plenty of hot water due to a central boiler system and heating and air-conditioning were very efficient and clean.
