Were thinking, about going to the horse races instead, of the quilt bingo's tonight. It's a fun clean place to go. IF you <3 horse racing. I do, at a distance I'm afraid of horses. LOL
Just like every sport... you have some who honor and respect it and the animal and some who do not and only look at is as a "payment"! Nothing against the race track it self. The track is old and sadly in a unattractive area. Some of the stalls are old and ran down. Leaving owners to be responsible to fix them as best as they can while only renting stalls, no one wants a lame horse when they are you income and family. I guess i am on the fence. The place is clean and friendly. Very, very cheap family entertainment. Easy parking, a whole lot of fun. Even the beer and snack food are cheap. Prices here are not Busch Stadium or Scottrade Center pricing. How does $2.00 beer sound to you? Some nights there's $1 hotdogs!
Lots of fun watching the horses... My husband and I visit often.. Only horse racing near St. Louis so I can't complain too much.. Sad they can't get the funding they need for improvements.. Why it's dated and the restaurants are average at best.. Definitely dine before visiting.. Alcohol is mostly beer and reasonably priced..
