I love to watch the horses. I am sure glad there is a track available for me to attend. It is only $1.50 to get in to general admission so that's great. There are many pick nick tables where I like to sit in the sun and be close to the action. I like to walk over and watch the horses being saddled in the paddock. I was at Fairmount Park Race Track with a group from SIUE Alumni. It's an anual event. We wear Derby 🐎 hats , have lunch, drinks and bet on the horses. So much fun. The facility is awesome, everybody was so friendly and helpful. I look forward to this treat every year.

They are under staffed for the biggest day of the year WTF
It could be great, if they increased staff for the big races. Waiting in line for 25 minutes for a hot dog is ridiculous. Plus running out of food, management is terrible. Consider putting walk around food and drink vendors and have enough food. It's like this every big race. When I read about financial problems at the racetrack, I get it it's needs to be run by someone who would address these problems
