My just out of college child didn't meet the income requires yet as they have yet to land their first "real" job so I was going to co-sign. Even after both of us showed proof of savings accounts with balances well able to cover any rent shortfall AND offering an additional deposit equal to 6 months rent they wouldn't rent to my kid unless I provided my tax return. The big selling point for me was that they only required half a month rents deposit, moving is expensive. Another plus, it is right behind a Hy-Vee grocery store, close to restaurants, close to the movie theater. Pretty pricey for a place showing its age. If you move there, I hope you have quiet upstairs neighbors. The floors are not very sound proof, the constant stomp stomp stomp of people was about enough to drive you crazy. The parking lot sucks.
