I was induced at NYU hospital excited to have my first baby. Dr. Sahani was assigned to me and didn’t give me the time of day. I was pushing for over 3 hours and she would periodically come in for two minutes just to say “no progress” and leave. She did not give me the time of day and I had little support other than the nurse for the entire 3 hours. Eventually she gave me two options. I must start by saying she was lovely and VERY kind. Reading previous reviews I was tempted to cancel my appointment because I really needed a doctor who would listen to me and would show me some empathy. I got everything I wanted and more.
Horrible bedside manner. I’m still quite traumatized by how cold and dismissive she was when I came in to see her 4 years ago as I was experiencing my second loss. At the time, due to pandemic restrictions, partners weren’t allowed to accompany patients, which made the experience even harder -having to hear such devastating news alone without my support person. Would give 10 stars if I could. Rare to find such a compassionate doctor. She is very calm and made me feel very comfortable.
Best obgyn. My daughter and I won’t see anyone other than Dr Sahani. Highly recommend her. She is very compassionate and always listens to my concerns
