Imposter. I just got back from France and was craving a real French baguette. Their “ Paris baguette” are NOT like Parisian baguettes. I just got back from 2 weeks in Paris, where I had baguettes daily. The soft part of theirs is a bit gummy instead of airy, and the crust is not as crunchy. They taste like standard yeast rolls, but just in an elongated shape. Their Pain Au Chocolat is not as light as Parisian ones either - they taste the same as Starbucks instead. The tall young man working the register was extremely rude. He did not greet guests and the interaction was very unpleasant. The pastries are okay, some of the display handles were grimy.
Bro got my order wrong, he can’t read well or something m. I didn’t have time so I had to take it like that. Word of advice: go to the one in Buena Park instead.
The food is good, I just feel uncomfortable walking in as a non Asian. Staff is not welcoming at all unless you look like them.
