Stopped by after visiting th Oakland zoo with my boyfriend. Parekoy Lutong Pinoy serves comforting Filipino food that really hits the spot. The sisig is flavorful and satisfying, the lumpia is crisp and delicious, and the pinakbet tastes fresh and well seasoned. It’s a bit pricey, but the quality makes it worth it, and it’s great to support a local business.

I orderd crispy pata and it was burnt. I ask for a replacement and cook another order. But what they did was just recook/ re- deep fried the crispy pata and pretended that they did cook another one. I checked the new order, same burnt crispy pata! The audacity to tell me that maybe their crispy pata is not for me. I know whay a crispy pata looks like. I cook them myself too. Actually I want to give a ZERO score. My first time to try this Restaurant. Their SISIG was terrible as many reviews call it chewing pieces of rocks. Very true, small pieces of dried up pork, no fatty richness. There were no aromatics but dried up onion. There was no flavor, not citrusy or savory. Worst Sisig I have ever tasted.
