Let me start off by saying if your loved one is mobile and out going this facility may work for you. There are many activities for the residents. If your loved one is not mobile and outgoing like my mom then please think again before choosing Paramount. They present a good sales job on your initial visit but don’t be fooled. My heart is full of gratitude and praise for the staff and the immaculate facilities at Paramount Senior Living of Peters. Several months ago, I was faced with a hard decision to leave my mom in a nursing home in Ohio where she lived all her life or move her closer to me as her health was declining so I could better tend to her. Last June, we had to place our father into a nursing home. After some research, we settled on Paramount Senior living in Peters Township. The the staff was tremendous! Considering how their job is incredibly challenging, they were always kind, thoughtful, generous and loving to our father. They made such a huge difference in our family this last 18 months just knowing he was cared for by competent and caring people 24/7.
Not a good experience at all, don't let the nice building and good sales job fool you. Nursing is either understaffed or doesn't care (maybe both). My mother would typically wait 15 to 30 minutes for her call button to be answered, not what I expected for $7500 / month. I left a msg for the nurse to call me, I had to call back twice and took 3 hours to finally talk to her. Multiple other issues.
