Get directionsNot at all accommodating about the accommodation. The rooms here were booked in February for a late July stay with a request that they be proximate for my daughter. We arrive to check in around 4pm to be told the rooms will be FOUR FLOORS APART and there is nothing which can be done to change this. The receptionist simply saying “I don’t know how they allocate rooms. Here are your keys”. Ridiculous
We stayed in a 2 twin room with a shared bath. I would not choose this room again. Next time, I'd choose a room with a bathroom in the room. The room was so small that it was hard to squeeze past the foot of the bed to get to the other bed and the closet area. This room would work better with a bunk bed set-up (turned 90 degrees) instead. They did supply robes, which was nice for walking down the hall to the shower. The shower rooms (there are 4) have very small showers and no ventilation. You cannot beat the access to the trails at Paradise or the charm of this historic lodge. It’s a beautiful building in a beautiful location. We enjoyed the fireplace and pianist each evening. The dining room wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t bad. It’s what you would expect from a national park inn (remember you’re paying for convenience more than quality). Awesome location on Mt. Rainier...however the Inn doesn't have its own parking lot, they share with the visitors center...which means you are fighting the crowds for parking....and I mean crowds! The lot fills up by 8am and doesn't clear out until 8pm. You can only visit where you can on foot otherwise you lose your parking spot. There are only a few food options, none are spectacular, all are okay, and all are overpriced.
