Pappy's Family BBQ is a local, family-owned restaurant that serves BBQ meats, sandwiches, tacos, salads, and sides for dining in and takeout. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The employees served us well. We enjoyed the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, sausage, mac and cheese, beans, hash browns, and cornbread. We also ate a cheesesteak sandwich, which had thickly rather than thinly sliced meat.
Got the pappy. Chicken, brisket and pulled pork. The pork was decent,but the chicken and brisket were horrible. Dry. Portion was very small also. I have been getting the pappy for about a year now but I probably will not be back soon
We ordered the 3 meat plate. The brisket was decent, the ribs were good and the pulled pork was not my favorite. The 2 BBQ sauces they gave us did not enhance the flavors. One was very vinegar strong and the other was a mustard BBQ. The cornbread was not dry. The 2 sides we got were the mac and cheese and the bacon hash browns, neither were anything special. I can not recommend and would not go again. It is a great concept for a business with BBQ and deli in one spot but it just wasn't for me.
The people were so nice! But the bbq was absolutely disgusting. We had hair in the cornbread. The beans were indescribably bad and the chicken was flavorless and the texture was off. I felt so bad because the people were so kind but seeing that this hair in the cornbread is not a new thing I had to write a review. Do not eat the bbq-they do sell cold cuts-if you want to support them, buy deli meat .
