Pizza. Trenton style. The oldest "tomato pie" restaurant in the USA. Thin crispy crust that doesn't wilt, fresh tomato and cooked to perfection. No thick underdone doughy crust here. You know, burnt on the bottom and raw in the middle. Not PaPa's because it's perfection. It's not a palace of a place. Nothing fancy but it's clean, comfortable and they serve great "tomato pies". This place was such a treasure to discover! Classic NJ! It was our first time trying Trenton tomato pies and our whole family loved it. Crust was perfectly crispy, sauce was amazing, cheese was just right. The mustard pizza was also delicious!! It feels like you’re stepping back in time inside (in the best way possible!) We will be back! Also, the birch beer was a fun addition!
The pizza was decent, however it did not live up to the hype and that's why I give them a 3/5. They might have started this style of pizza, but they are not the best. They are not bad, just good.
