PAPA SLOWS - WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER SEEN!- ordered pizzas for my daughter's B-DAY party and delivery took OVER TWO HOURS!!! After first call they claimed it was enroute, 2nd call they claimed it was enroute, third call it was for pick-up!! They originally took my address and phone number and I clearly told them delivery, which they had now denied. KIM THE CARRY-OUT MANGER was very rude and never apoligized. Worst Dining Experience Yet – As part of a celebration for our family, I made a reservation at Papa Joe's in Oak Lawn for a party of 20 people. The reservation was made one week ahead. We were seated right away, but then experienced nothing but waiting - and waiting - and more waiting, as the servers seemed to take care of every other patron in Oak Lawn except for us. Papa Joe's - WORST SERVICE – 4 out of 10 times I ordered pizza and the wrong ingredients were in it. I'm not a hard person to please; mistakes happen. However, being told that I have to either bring the pizza back or have it picked up so they can charge me full price for the right pizza is unacceptable. Waiting 2 hours for a pizza just doesn't work for me or my family.
Great food always, TRY THE RIBS! Yummy. – I love this place. The reviews below are bogus. They have great Lasagna and most any Italian dish is delicious. Not Very Impressed – After debating several Italian restaurants last night, my family decided to visit Papa Joe's in Oak Lawn. It had been a while since we've visited and decided it was time to go back. When we arrived, the hostess was seating a large group that had come in. While she went back and forth checking on their tables, my party of three languished. Finally a waitress came to our aid and seated us. Go eat somewhere else – When my group first showed up, we decided to order appetizers. We ordered bruschetta, which was $6 for three dinky pieces. There were ants in our bruschetta. There was nothing special about the iceberg lettuce salad, soup or bread. I ordered chicken tetrazzini, and the chicken was overcooked and dry. The bathrooms were really dirty. On the plus side, our waitress and the bartender were extremely kind and polite, but that couldn't save this sinking ship of a restaurant.
Great Local Italian – At Papa Joe's, you will find the best deep dish pizza in all of Oak Lawn. Whenever I move, finding the best local pizza is imperative. I stopped looking when I got to Papa Joe's. The unusual factor is that no matter what topping is on the pizza, it will be cooked as close to "al dente" as that topping can get. good food, nice restaurant – Food is good, service is somewhat slow. Good salad and bread! I would recommend it, but it seems like the average italian restaurant? but its good!! :)
Finest Pizza – Every time I return home I look forward to a pizza from Papa Joe's. The sausage and mushroom is great and I trulyy miss the food during my travels in the military.
