I visit when I can, sometimes sending my folks to pick something up for me. All ways nice to us and helpfull staff. Great place to visit. Going tomorrow.
The owner is rude and a crook, I placed several items on consignment with them and three months later stopped in to check on them he told me to come back another day. I said I drove 50 miles to get here... 20 minutes later he shoves a check in front of me for $12.50 CLAIMING A 50% FEE and telling me the two $65.00 motorized midway rides still in their boxes sold for $10.00 each and a small building sold for $5.00 when it was worth twice that. I visit whenever I can from Corpus. The staff is always courteous, respectful and answers all of my questions. And as a bonus, I get to look at the railroad club display room!
Visited the store twice and it was a very good experance
Good place for N-scale hobby folks... pretty bad for anything else. Very cliquey sort of staff, always has been... nice to their friends and regulars but icy with newcomers. If you even mention HO scale the temperature in the place drops below freezing and the snarky sarcasm comes in with a shovel! I try to support local shops and have come here for over three years but their 'tude just sends me back to shopping on eBay for awhile. I miss M&M Hobby!
Worst experience ever today. Walk in trying to buy A bunch of Track for my brothers layout, douche manager comes out and tells us that we are doing it all wrong and then proceeds to act sarcastic without actually helping us, we let that slide. Later my sister picks up track to look at the price, (very gently mind you) and the old man comes out and tells her off. We let it slide again, 3rd time we walk out. Boy's you just lost a customer today. I would have bought 3 loco's but....you acted like a douche and didn't let me see them. EDIT: Not to mention the colossal &&&k up a year ago when you sold my father an SD-70Ace thinking it was a ES44 GEVO.
It's a great place to buy model railroad equipment,books,and magazines....
