Young cashier with glasses (no hair net) gave my pick up order to the wrong person. Although I was running late I understand that mistakes happen. He took his time "throwing" my sandwich together and instead of apologizing for the wait he told me I shouldn't have waited so long to pick up my order. Mind you its my birthday. He was so rude and unprofessional for no reason.
We visit Panera Bread quite regularly, and overall, the experience really depends on the day. The service can sometimes be very slow and a bit unfriendly, though every now and then we do get lucky and have someone cheerful at the counter, which makes a big difference. The food also varies — there are times when everything is fresh, tasty, and just right, but we’ve also had moments where we left disappointed with the preparation or the speed of service.
