Went through the drive through this afternoon. Why are the people at the drive through not aware of what the restaurant carries in terms of food. I asked about desserts and was told all they had were sugar or chocolate chip cookies. I wanted a cinnamon roll. I got my order - salad was sideways in the bag causing it to leak. I decided to go into the restaurant to see what they had as far as desserts and lo and behold, I counted at least 8 cinnamon rolls. We are frequent customers at Panteras in Shelby Twp, Grand Rapids, and Muskegon, so we have a general idea what to expect, and the Southfield (Telegraph Rd) Panera we visited on Friday, 2/6/26, around 4:30 p.m.. was way below expectations. Why? The floor around the cash register looked dirty and had napkins scattered around. Cashier friendly, Order # 163538 time: 12:52 PM Presentation of grilled cheese plated: ciuld have been better. Sandwich not warm— went to stand by the beverage machine to wait for my order/ did not hear my name called. Walked to see if plate on counter might be my order: it was. Tomato soup: neutral Bread of sandwich barely toasted Cheese: appears to have been everywhere Outside the sandwich. I ate the soup: tore off pieces of the sandwich then discarded, just couldn’t. Restaurant was clean and restrooms too.
Dont waste your time. We will never go back. Placed my order and paid the bill. We were asked to pull up and someone would bring our order out. We sat there for over 40 minutes waiting. No one ever came out so I backed up to the drive through window. Waited there another 5-6 minutes as the cashier ignored me sitting there. Also watched another employee with no gloves on blow his nose. By this time I was not going to eat this food and wait any longer for it. I was disgusted. Cafe #: 202600. McDonough GA. Worst place to eat EVER. They expect a tip prior to any service, the food was not "hot" but barely warm, the soup was cool to eat, and the sweet tea tasted like sewer water was used. For the price of $50 we ordered 2 whole sandwiches and two bowls of what they called soup. French onion tasted like thick beef broth, with cooked onions drop in prior to serving and stale croutons and cheese that couldn't melt due to temperature. We order from Panera as our HQ is right around the corner. Today we got our order delivered in a SEALED back (its how they seal the receipt to the bag) and one of our 1/2 sandwiches were missing. Our head of HR who placed the order called to let them know it was missing ... ONLY to be on the receiving end of an arguing employee who then hung up on our manager and refused to answer the phone when she called back. Do not go through the drive up. I sat here for an hour already and there is no way to even get out. Cars are stuck. I'm absolutely disgusted and will never come back to the Panera on Maywood road ever again and go through the drive up. This is ridiculous. They need to hire or shut down. I have been ill and ordered the chicken noodle soup as it is supposed to be "healing". None of it closely resembled "homemade" but more from a "soup starter". One piece of chicken and about 7 noodles. Not sure yet about the healing property but I am out $10.00
