If you don’t want to deal with customers, maybe don’t work in customer service. I arrived at 6:05 AM, just after they opened, and knocked on the door. Donna saw me and straight-up ignored me. When I finally got inside, she was rude and defensive like I was the problem. Thankfully, the manager was professional and took half off my meal, but Donna’s attitude was unacceptable. Do better.
The employees are always excellent! They’ve got a great staff here. But whoever makes the decisions for what gets baked, quantities available, etc. really needs to rethink what they’re doing. They are ALWAYS out of bagels! It’s (supposedly) a bread shop! If you don’t want an Asiago cheese bagel (which is always massively available due to them also having lunch and dinner Asiago bagel sandwiches) you’re out of luck most times! The Panera Bread in Gastonia has always been a reliable, friendly, and convenient location for me to grab food and work in a comfortable setting. I recommend it and I appreciate the workers that help to make it a great place for eating, socializing, and working with plenty of natural light and great seating options.
