This evening was my first time visiting Panera Bread, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I spent approximately $25 on a sandwich, soup, and a side item. I ordered a dipper sandwich, but the dipping sauce was missing, which is a pretty important part of the meal. I called the restaurant to address the missing item, and the employee who answered the phone apparently couldn’t hear or understand what I was saying. Ran out of lettuce again
It costed a fortune for an iced coffee and a chocolate croissant that tasted like wood. You’re greeted with a touch screen so you can check out without talking to another human being (god forbid). Of course you will be prompted to tip since they won’t pay their own employees (who are nice by the way) a fair wage. The atmosphere drips with corporate homogeneity, but the coffee was ok and there’s lots of charging outlets if you need one. It’s owned by private equity of course so that’s the reason it’s so sub-par.
The most amazing squash soup. The tuna sandwich was good also.
