Mongolian BBQ originated in the Yuan Dynasty during Genghis Khan's advance westward. THese barbarian soldiers were famous for their exceptional skill in teh art of war. Where they were victorious in a battle, they would celebrate by consuming mountains of beef and multon. Since they lacked cookers, the meat was broiled on heavy bronze shields. Such a style of savoring meat gradually developed into the Mongolian BBQ of today.

HELLOO!!!THIS PLACE SHUT DOWN BECAUSE IT WAS A WHORE HOUSE!!! OWNER HAD WHORES ON THE BACK SLEEPING WITH MEN!!! WHILE RESTAURANT WAS OPEN TO CUSTOMERS.>!!! THANK GOOD I NEVER ATE IN THIS PLACE THERE WAS PROB CUM IN THE FORKS OR TABLES EWWW!!!
I don't know what to say. – I could go on and on about my experience at this restaurant today 5/16/11 but why? Instead I'm just going to say that today was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. And I don't ever say things like this. I'm 30, a chef, and certified degree holding culinarian. This place is outstandingly terrible. I wish I could give less than one.
Scary, cold and EXPENSIVE.DO NOT GO! – I went in at time for evening dining, two cars on lot, likely one was waiters, another some couple was in there,no other guests.Im food industry professional and chef as well.Guy came after 1 minute of seing no host at all.I was suspicouslly looking why 80 % of restaurant if w/o light and very cold inside, couple was inside-only no other cusoitmers.Man-customer was with ski hat.temperature likely under 60,to 50 F.Cold.Buffet table fridge was turned off.All thsi guy was to say was Thank ya!He... read more
Just pass by – Stupid Restaurant (dot) com gift certificates!!! Next time I purchase something off there I am searching reviews first. Exterior: dirty and ghetto Interior: Upon walking in we were greeted by clutter, what appeared to be yesterday's food still in the buffet bins and dim lighting (not like the set-the-mood style of dim lighting, more like they hadn't paid their power bill for a few months). We stood there for about 5 minuted questioning our decision before anyone greeted us (felt like we had just entered an aba... read more
Generally Lackluster. – She wasn't too happy that i wanted to inspect the foodline first. I ate, around 3 pm, suddenly "dinner" prices for the sole customer inside. The "Egg Roll" does not even have a wrapper - it is a lump of vegetable mush fried in batter without a skin and scarcely larger than a chicken nugget.Meat too thin = tough and curled after cooking. Nothing special tastewise, pricewise, ambience, or customer service. Still smarting for the waste of eight bucks months later.
Tattered and worn, but worth a stop for a Mongolian-style lunch. – The Scene This place has been around for a while--and it shows. Don't expect anything close to elegant. Don't even expect it to be spotless. But you watch your meal as it cooks on the grill, so why worry? The Food Belly up to the food bar and grab a bowl, then fill it with meats (slightly scary looking frozen, shaved beef, pork, turkey and chicken) and vegetables (fresh broccoli, green pepper, carrot, bean sprouts, etc.). The chef suggested that we "smash" th... read more
Fantastic! – I love Mongolian BBQ and this is the only place in Salt Lake that has the real thing. Don't waste your money at the place in the Gateway food court or some other Chinese buffet. This is the best!
Great informal atmosphere. If you like a lot of good food for a small amount of money this is definately your place. Dimly lit and calm, but great for a large group. After taking your order they bring out spring rolls, rice, and your drinks while you procede over to the barbque line to stack your bowl. Load it any way you want it. Stack it high enough and you have great left overs for later. Use a friends bowl to smash down your bowl and make a broccoli wall on the outside for maximum stacking. The sauces are great, and then... read more
