True Dog Abuse Over 10 years ago Oleg was our Bichon's groomer UNTIL my husband went in a little early to pick her up. Oleg didn't hear my husband enter because he was SCREAMING at our 12 lb. dog. My husband could see him in the mirror and in addition to standing over her and screaming he began to hit her. good business practices I couldn't find anybody to groom my dog right. Oleg was great. He is very gentle, thorough, and pays attention to details. We were welcomed back and I hope this place will stay in business long!
Great exprerience and good results We bring our dogs from Oakland to Lafayette to be groomed by Oleg. They are not afraid to go in which means a lot to us. We have three chows who do not like to handled by strangers. As a result, the first time they were very matted and it was tough on Oleg and the dogs, but since then grooming at Oleg's has been a regular event. He takes his time with them and they are beautiful when they come home. It does take a long time, but the results are worth it.
Artistic and loving groomers We have two toy poodles and were happy to find Pampered Paws when our former groomer moved away. We were delighted to meet Oleg and see the way he handles the dogs with affection and authority, and we were knocked out when we saw the results -- he is a master groomer in every way. Our dogs came back happy and beautiful, and we have been returning regularly for several years.
Glad We Found Him! Jordan and I are SoCal transplants going on 4 years now. Jordan is of the large dog variety, mix between a chow and a blonde golden retriever. He was a foundling to me, prone to running away and no authority, strong AND headstrong. I LOVE the way Oleg handles Jordan, and the results! Knowledgeable and caring Seems to me Oleg is very knowledgeable and does his job with care. I will definitely will come back.
Not what I expected It's been a while since I went here, but I was very displeased. First off, the place is dirty. Second, my golden retriever was not ready when I came to pick him up, so I had to wait for 20 minutes. When I got him, he smelled so intensely of chemicals that I vowed never to go back. Lastly, ever since this grooming session, my dog became very fearful of having his paws touched. The owners were nice, but I will not go back. Maybe they've changed since I was there--I hope so.
Nightmare Groomer Let me just say that if you love your pet, Pampered Paws should be avoided at absolutely all costs. The place is disgusting and the owner, Oleg actually threatened me after I called to complain about the thrid-rate hatchet job that they did on my dog. He has no clue whatsoever about dog-grooming...In fact, I would feel significantly more confident taking my dog to Petco or Petsaver to have their inexperienced teenagers groom my dog as opposed to going back to Pampered Paws.
