We followed Dr McEvilly to Palms and Paws when it first opened, and were indebted to him and his staff for the compassion and expert care they gave our cat. I want to call out how exceptional he was in explaining everything to our pre-teen kids when we had to say goodbye to her at 21 years. It’s been almost two years, but we returned today with two new 4 legged family members. We were welcomed with hugs and warmth, and the same care and compassion. I cannot recommend Dr McEvilly enough.
Palms and Paws are honestly the best. Dr. Kevin is a literal godsend—he’s so thoughtful, thorough, and I trust him completely with my Calvin. I also want to shout out Dr. Megan McGonagle, who I saw this weekend. She was amazing—so sweet, easy to talk to, and just really on top of everything. She took such good care of Calvin and made the whole experience feel way less stressful. You can tell she genuinely cares, which goes a long way. They really have such a strong team, and Dr. McGonagle is such a great addition.
Clean facility with friendly staff. They treat pets with care. I wish they would work with Chewy/Costco pharmacy. They don't approve prescriptions from Chewy/Costco over phone and the pharmacy they work with/in house purchases are nearly 2x the price. This makes the process of getting medicines either 2x expensive or 2x the effort.

Palms & Paws provided exceptional care during an incredibly difficult experience. I was new to LA without an established vet when my cat suddenly became very sick, and their team met us with compassion and professionalism from the start. Dr. K was thoughtful and thorough in diagnosing Gizmo’s kidney disease and consistently checked in with a calm, reassuring presence.
