The good: The Palomar gets to use all of the amenities of the four star Hyatt down the street. It has free golf cart shuttles on demand. It has gated parking. The tv is probably a 55”. The bad: The rooms in this three star hotel are cooled by window swamp coolers. They’re partially covered to look better, but it blocks airflow. They’re partially aren’t sealed on the sides, so hot air gets in from the 1/2”-3/4” gap around the side of it. Please learn from our mistake and do not books here. This “hotel” is just a bunch or rooms 2 blocks away from reception and the other amenities. That means if you want to use the pool, you have to DRIVE. We booked through Airbnb and all I did was use a filter for “pool” because that was all I wanted. I never would have thought to double check that the pool was ON the property. The room is also extremely musty. I cannot believe they charge an amenity fee for people that are staying here.
