My husband and I did the tubing activity at Saluda River and we had an amazing experience. Staff is very knowledgeable and provided helpful advice throughout the whole process. They have a kayaker traveling with your group to make sure everything goes okay during your journey. During the day we went, the water right before the rapids was very slow and at some point despite paddling we went backwards a few times. Do u have tent sites and I am disabled and want to check in with discount
My husband and I did the tubing excursion down the Saluda River with a double tube. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, but it definitely would have been better with a paddle. You can't really steer yourself in the double tube so we spent a lot of time stuck on rocks and it was a little frustrating. The river itself was beautiful and the water felt great, but if we did it again we would definitely get individual tubes and bring a paddle.
Hannah was amazing! She was knowledgeable, and a very physically capable guide. Our whole family had a wonderful time. It was even more special that our dog got to be a part of the activity!! Even though he jumped out of the canoe once, Hannah got to us and heaved his 70lbs back into the canoe. Going downriver she was informative and engaging, and on the way back she chatted with us more individually.
