Told to leave the kids’ pool for breastfeeding — in a safe, shallow area! Told to leave the kids’ pool at Palm Beach Swimming Pool for breastfeeding my baby while watching my older children. Staff claimed all Qld pools ban breastfeeding — completely false. There’s no such law, and under the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act, this is unlawful. Lifeguards were overbearing and strict, making the visit stressful. Parents should feel welcome, not policed or shamed for feeding their babies.
