Palliative care will not help you with comfort meds. I had been told by my chemo doctor to go downstairs and palliative care would prescribe the morphine. I went down there and she said no and made me go back upstairs to my chemo doctor to tell him he needed to prescribe it. I went for severe cancer fatigue. She told me no and that I had to see my primary care doctor or my psychiatrist because the medication prescribed for severe fatigue is methylphenidate and it is Ritalin and that's where I need to go.
