Spent two nights at the cabin. Basics were there. The interior wood stove chimney is “blocked” and not useable. Space heaters were provided and we didn’t get cold. The wood stove would have been nice to have. The kitchen is lacking if you’re planning to cook…bring your own salt, pepper, oils, etc…we left some for the next guests. This place is pretty well booked, so pay it forward and leave long lasting pantry items you don’t want to pack home. Well worth it! Private cabin at 8000 feet. We experienced the first winter storm of the season with a dusting of snow. Perfect for a small group. Kitchen has pots, pans and other utensils. Microwave and toaster oven and refrigerator. A dining room with table for four. This is not the Hilton nor Airbnb. Need to bring your own linens and cleaning tools. They do have a vacuum and mop. It's exactly what you'd expect a ranger cabin to be, but perhaps cleaner and more comfortable. For the price, what you get is very good. There were two things that might be bothersome: 1.) Only sheer curtains in the living room and none in the kitchen, 2.) It's not very secluded-- RV park across the street and Boy Scouts of America camp across the other way. I brought my dad up for an early birthday present. The cabin was as pictured. There was a note about mice, but we didn't see any. We did secure our food, just in case. The nights were cold, but the heater worked quite well. I would stay here again.
