Some reviewers gave this plant a 1 star review. I can’t understand that at all. I don’t know what other nuclear power plants they were comparing it to. This plant has been providing carbon free energy for fifty years, and after recommissioning (a historic first in the US) could easily provide carbon free energy for another 50 years. It has cost well over $4.6 billion to "reopen" this nearly 60 year old nuclear power plant. This $5 billion project will "create" almost 600 permanent jobs for almost 20 years (entire lease) while creating an additional 60 tons of nuclear waste that will be stored with the other nearly 150 tons of nuclear waste being illegally and improperly stored on the property and possibly leaking into lake Michigan and the local ground water supplies.
