Pali Hotel is truly a Culver City gem! What stands out the most is their exceptional customer service. I stayed here for six nights. The location is great. Very walkable and safe. The main floor area has a nice vibe, the room size is nice, and there are Diptyque in the bathroom. However, the hallways and room smelled quite damp and musty. Additionally, I found a cockroach and centipede in my room on separate occasions, whereas I didn't have open food in the room.

The staff at check in was extremely nice. The room was small but clean and the bed was very large. Unfortunately for our room we couldnt open the window as it opened directly to a table at the restaurant (which also meant we could hear everyone at the restaurant), but I'm sure not all the rooms have this issue. There is valet parking for $50 (but overnight is $60), so be aware of that if you drive there as it is the only parking option.

Ngl I was bracing myself for the worst after reading some of these reviews. (I had booked a room in a hurry due to an emergency thus wasn't able to research reviews like I normally do.) Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised! The design is so cute and thoughtful, down to the phones looking like old rotary dial phones. I'm petite and just had a backpack, so the small space didn't bother me at all, though I could see how a duo with luggage would find it cramped. I would like to make a complaint about my stay. I was in a room on the first floor, and besides the noise from the restaurant, I also had to deal with a housekeeping employee being extremely loud. She was talking on her phone almost yelling, and later she was playing Mexican music at a very high volume while cleaning. I find this very disrespectful, especially since check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Guests should still be able to rest without being disturbed by loud conversations or music from the housekeeping staff.
