Been going to Palden’s for ~5 yrs and 2 cars. Absolutely no complaints. Quick service, fair prices, no upselling or pressure tactics. Definitely recommend.
Disappointed. I have been going here for years for regular oil changes and maintenance. Recently I need a strut/shock mount replacement. They originally quoted me 900 to replace both shocks, however mine aren’t even two years old! He said he would look into just the mount but told me it wasn’t possible. Minimum $300 just for the replacement shock and mount not including labour. I said no, my dad, a 70 year old man fixed in a half hour using a YouTube video and it cost me under $200. This is why folks don’t trust mechanics!
Best mechanic in the area!! Not only is Palden's good, honest people, but their rates are unbelievably good for the city. I will always come back here and recommend to others.
They are either scammers or incompetent. Took my car in for a clutch issue and they diagnosed it with clutch plate and pressure plate problem. Total bill quoted $1800 parts and labour. Took my car to another garage for 2nd opinion and they diagnosed the problem as clutch master cylinder issue. 2nd garage fixed the issue for $600 parts and labour. I would not be going back to Palden's friendly auto repair again
