Excellent location to the art area, as well as easy quick haunts to the Taos Ski Valley and surrounding areas. Amazing facility, spacious and clean rooms, and the staff was amazing! Highly recommended, and will be back!!!
After reading other reviews, I had high hopes that the Palacio de Marquesa would be a highlight of our recent road trip through northern New Mexico. While it does have many charming fine points in terms of updated design and kind staff, it was a bit of a disappointment overall, given the cost of the room v. the quality of our stay. It has an intimate boutique feel, with only a handful of rooms in a restored, traditional-Southwestern building. But the property itself is in need of tending. A sister hotel of Monte Sagrado. You get breakfast at Monte Sagrado and can use their pool, gym and hot tub. That being said, we preferred being at Palacio de La Marquesa. It is peaceful and quiet with the adobe and tile design we love. Getting over to the sister hotel is a 20 min walk or a 2 minute drive. The inn keeper texts you and lives on site and is available for help. Cookies, coffee and tea in the entry. Easy to walk downtown if you want or drive. The beds were comfortable. A great little spot in Taos, walking distance from downtown, clean, cozy, with an eclectic book selection of some very old.editions and pet friendly, to boot! Already planning our next stay here
