Terrible service – Ordered an Americano near closing. Was charged $1.50 for the third shot after being charged $0.75 two days before. The Americano tasted like it had one shot, not three. I asked about the price and the gal just shrugged. Will not return
Food great, service TERRIBLE! – I used to frequent the Palace Cafe, but it was not because of the service, it was because it was one of the few places I could check my email and eat lunch at the same time (they provide free wireless internet for customers.) If it weren't for that, I would not have continued going there. The food and atmosphere was really fantastic, but the service was almost always awful. The Worst Service EVER! – 2 I just got back from Palace Cafe and let me tell you, the service was THE WORST I HAVE EVER experienced! I ordered an herb chicken entree & they either lost my lunch order or gave it to someone else. This was told to me only after I had gone upto the counter to ask for it. The server then came to our table and said that it would take them 3 mins to prepare a new order. Good deli salad deal, great location – A great place to stop for coffee and a snack. A fave for outdoor seating on Saturdays during the farmers market on Murphy Ave. Occasionally they have a "3 deli salads for $5.00" special. Well worth it - their salads are fresh and tasty (we're not talking mayo covered macaroni salad here...fresh pastas & veggies, some meats). Staff is sometimes less than charming, but that's probably because they're teenage boys who would rather be outside on a beatuiful Saturday morning.
