Palace Arms

About this business

Designed in a French Napoleonic style, the Palace Arms in the Brown Palace Hotel brings the elegance and regality of old Europe to America. The restaurant is full of fascinating period antiques. With all that ambiance, the food is distinctly American, with a hint of classical French. The pan seared lobster cake is a great way to start the meal. The rack of lamb is an excellent choice for the main course. The wine list is extensive and excellent.

The Brown Palace's fine-dining restaurant offers sophisticated food and exquisite service in old, European-style tradition. – In Short Decor in this luxurious restaurant includes rich carpeting, white-clothed tables, padded leather booths and banners emblazoned wih coats of arms placed around the room. Tuxedoed servers and an army of backup bussers wait on couples and small groups quietly celebrating special occasions. Each dish boasts the influence of France--from the foie gras appetizer flavored with tart cabernet cherry s... read more

Classic, clubb atmosphere and great food but expensive – The Palace Arms is a beautiful spot and serves classic cuisine prepared very well. Entrees go to $50+ but some are less (e.g., $30). Jacket and tie are no longer required though you will fit in fine if you are wearing them. This is a great place to go on an expense account. The service is good, but there are lapses and sometimes it's not clear why a simple request takes a long time to complete. It is not a great value for the money but if (as others say) Denver has onl... read more

A fantastic restaurant one of the only formal fine dining restaurants left. Outstanding service and food – Having had the opportunity to dine at the Palace Arms I must say there isnt much in Denver that even comes close to the service and food. Did I mention the wine list? Extensive and exquisite. Restaurants in Boston, New York and Los Angeles have nothing on The Palace Arms. The two servers I have had there were both very attentive and professional on each of the two visits. When there you might just ask for Jorge or Mark ... read more

A perfect restaurant for a special occasion – The food was always fabulous, the wine list is one of the most extensive and the staff is top notch. Ambiance is warm and inviting, great for business dinners (private room, but still romantic. That reviewer who had something against a one year old being in the restaurant sounds like he has a problem. Granted, the place probably isn't your first choice to bring your child, but that doesn't mean they should ban kids. I take my baby to every 5 star restaurant I go to, the more he i... read more

Great food and excellent service at a true Denver icon. The staff is great and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a night of degustation. The wine list is thick and elegant with specialties in California Cabernet, Bordeaux, and Burgundy. It's easy to see how this restaurant ranks as "Best Of"

Fine dining at its best! – What a wonderful dining experience. The food was fabulous and the service beyond compare. The fantastic wine list can not be found anywhere else in the Rocky Mountains. I t was a wonderful evening and one of the last formal dining experiences left.
