I own an automotive shop and I can gasweld and Ark weld. But I can't weld aluminum. My son went over to talk to Greg and Greg was able to repair his e bike frame at a reasonable price and did not take advantage of a young 14-year-old kid, just wanna give him kudos. For a great service and a great job.
We've had Painter Bros. create two custom projects that turned out perfectly. They work with you and are thorough and excellent. For one project (needing to create stair stringers on a couple of I-beams) they worked through a couple iterations with us and made a sample piece so we could work out spacing as well as needed holes for attaching it to the I-beams. Greg and his associate completed a small project while I waited for it. I’m not a homeowner any more, but I’ll definitely tell my sons (who do own homes) where to call should they ever need any welding done. Greg was helpful and pleasant to work with and completed my project effortlessly. Please consider calling him at Painter Brothers in San Marcos should you ever need any welding done!
Great service! I had a couple small jobs - one an aluminum wheel with an extra valve stem hole that needed to be plugged, and a chrome-moly suspension part that had broken. I was prepared to leave the parts if necessary, but Greg welded both while I waited. Very knowledgeable about these special materials, the work was exactly what I needed, and reasonably priced as well. I'll definitely take my next welding job to Painter Bros.!
