I came to Paint Branch Golf Complex for a Father’s Day outing with my husband and son on June 20, 2026, with a 1:00 PM tee time. My son recently fell in love with golf and wanted to treat his father to a special day on the course. Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful family memory was completely ruined by the behavior of the course marshal on duty during our afternoon session. Course is in good condition, but as we were getting our cart which had already been paid for, the starter stopped us and was very unfriendly and rude. He gave us a lecture about course safety in a very rude and condescending tone. Overall, it ruined my experience and this man should not be here.
This is a great place to go near College Park MD. First of, the course is easy and flat, great for beginners to get food or for experienced players to get some practice with their approach and short game. Their range is nice with their prices being reasonable and parts of it being covered and yardage signs clearly labeled. They also have a great short game practice area with small greens and various slopes for pitching, chipping, and putting.
