I had years of UTI's and was treated by my local Urologist and after 4 hospitalizations, I was referred to U of M Urology and was lucky to be seen by Dr. Barboglio Romo who ultimately had to remove my non-functioning bladder and have Ostomy surgery. The equipment at UofM is top of the line and I had the best care. I could not have been in better (or more caring) hands than Dr. Barboglio Romo. Took the time to thoroughly explain all of my options re: urether blockage. Surgery went well for exchange of stent. I have confidence in this MD> His office staff seem to fall under the big medical center issues of communications not always following through etc.
Rude and Nasty attitude from staff
Please avoid this doctor at all costs. He not only missed my diagnosis but was arrogantly wrong and constantly suggested I had anxiety. Turns out I had schistosomiasis that he mistreated for 8 months. Still have symptoms 4 years later because of this man not believing me or referring me to infectious disease.
