I couldn't be happier with the butcher block Scott made for me. It's fully custom to what I asked for, 1.5" thick, 24" x 18" (it's huge!) and rubber feet for the bottom of the board. This is the kind of thing that I will probably pass down to my kids! I'm so glad I was able to find a local woodworker--other places like crate & barrel or other kitchenware companies charge 3-4x for a lower quality product.
