Very nice relaxing no-frills nature experience (2h harbour tour) with my 2 boys (10 & 13 years old). Not strenuous but some exercise - nice sightigs of a bear which we followed parallel the shore for about 6 minutes. Guide was very nice and capable. I would have loved to continue. Tall people make sure you get the tall-people-boat! Recommendation!
We had a fantastic 4 hour kayak trip with guide Everett. We were a group of 5 - in two double kayaks with our children, and my fifteen year old on her own. We felt safe throughout and had total confidence in Everett’s ability of assess conditions and adjust based on our abilities. Everett was a fantastic guide and we learned so much about the local wildlife and history of the area, including First Nations culture - in a very balanced way. This was an absolutely brilliant day.
Everything was great. We took the harbour tour, which was about 2 hours on calm water. Very relaxing, with interesting things to see. When one to the boats in our party had trouble keeping up with our slow pace, our guide towed them the rest of the way!
We did the 2.5 hr kayaking tour in the harbour area and it was fantastic. Our guide, Onaya, was exceptionally gifted at weaving in stories and interesting tidbits while also keeping us moving from area to area. She had a very good read of what our group was capable of and it stood out to me that she was very good at finding ways to engage everyone in the group. Everyone felt comfortable, safe, and engaged. Awesome afternoon with Jake on our double kayaks! We had the chance to see a lot of wild animals in the Ucluelet bay, including a few bears. Such a magic moment, thank you Jake for sharing your knowledge!
