This is an exceptional opportunity to experience sea kayaking in all its challenging beauty: rugged shorelines, winds and swells, remote sand beaches. If you're new to big water kayaking, it's highly recommended you paddle duo rather than solo. As the only solo paddler on this adventure, it was difficult to keep up, with few opportunities to just coast and take in the surroundings. A definite must do again!

Kayaking the Ucluelet Harbour (2.5 hour beginner paddle) with our guide, Luca, was an experience of a lifetime. The clouds dispersed just as we hit the water and we had sunshine the whole tour. The wildlife sightings were awesome and included seals, seal lions, a jellyfish as well as a humpback whale. Luca said this was a first for him in the harbour, lucky us. Luca was very informative about the history, marine life and area and had great recommendations for us to enjoy Ucluelet. We will book again with Paddle West Kayaking... read more

I have paddled with you guys so often you really rock. It was very windy on Sunday and Lucas was very good to check in with all of the paddlers on their comfort level. He had to change course because of the wind at one point leading us to a beautiful beach for a rest. I never for a second felt unsafe under his guiding.

We had a wonderful 4 hour kayaking trip with Katie on Saturday. She’s knowledgeable, authentic and warm. It was an amazing time! We would definitely recommend.
