Love this place, very tasty red ale and proprietor is very welcoming. Looking forward to a great canoe trip in his handcrafted canoe.

The full moon float was an amazing experience! It was fun to share it with friends as well as meet some new ones. The float/ river was very calm and relaxing. The dinner was delicious. Floating back by moonlight was very special! It was apparent that Shane is very familiar with and comfortable on the river and that he loves what he does. I highly recommend getting on the river with Paddle Stop!

Shane guided a group of ten of us on an exquisite trip in a giant wooden canoe down the mighty MO river from Rocheport to Cooper's Landing. The weather was end of summer perfect, not too hot, but warm enough to go swimming when we stopped at California Island sand bar for a well-prepared-by-Shane dinner. There was a near steady, light breeze. The full moon rose while we were running around on the sandbar and we continued to marvel at it while we ate our meal. First time out canoeing on the Missouri. Was in great hands with some very experienced guides. We did a 16 mile trip from Hermann back to New Haven. It was a hot day, but we made plenty of stops to cool off. Will definitely be back. Having the brewery at the end doesn’t hurt either!
