I brought my Transmission to Don Macelree Packrat Garage. He quoted me 1350.00 and estimated a turn around time of 2 days. I was not in much of a hurry to get it back but was approx a week. I brought my car to a family friends garage to use his lift and expertise to install my rebuilt transmission. After installation my car did not go into any gear and poured out transmission fluid. The transmission went out in our truck. We called Pack Rat in Jordan to get it fixed. They quoted us the $1800 to get a new transmission put in and said it had a 1 year warranty if anything goes wrong. We got the truck down to Jordan from Anoka and had them replace the transmission. We paid them the $1800 and went on about our way about a few months later the truck wouldnt drive you could NOT go forward so we called and they told us it was under warranty and we could drop the truck off so again we pay for a tow down to Jorda... read more

We have had nothing but positive experiences with this repair shop. The guys are always courteous, always honest and explain everything in detail. They go out of their way to NOT force you into buying something you don't need. I just sent my mother to these guys before she forked over $2900 to Goodyear for front end work. Donnie installed new ball joints, tie rod ends and aligned it for a third of that and gave my mom his personal car to use while they repaired hers. posting DONT USE PACKRAT SHOP. DOSENT HONOR WARRANTY AND ONLY 35,000MILES!!!! AND NOW HAS NO REVERSE AND NEVER DROVE-SHIFTED CORRECTLY! i DONT THINK THEY DID A REBUILD EVEN THOUGH THATS WHAT I PAID FOR! BECAUSE A REBUILD SHOULD LAST ALOT LONGER. I DROVE IT CORRECTLY AND ALWAYS WAITED 2 -4 SECONDS BETWEEN D TO R SHIFTS.
