Great places to kayak. They have an excellent selection of craft and are very accomodating. I've enjoyed their Canoe Cove location today. There is interesting rocks, birds, seals, and other islets and coves. It's a bit hard to find, Stop at the marina office first. Do three things. 1. Get a parking pass. 2. Get the bathroom code and use it. 3. Get directions to Pacifica Paddle.
Definitely a unique and fun activity! We loved getting an opportunity to experience bioluminescence via night kayaking! It was so fun to see and we learned a lot. Thank you to our awesome guides!
We went on the Glow Tour to see bioluminescent phytoplankton! It was pure magic. Unfortunately, it does not photograph well, but I captured the sunset at the beginning of the tour. We also lucked out and paddled through a huge group of moon jellies 🪼 , and were visited by some seals 🦭 (which I may or may not have almost hit ). 10/10 experience, highly recommend, despite the fact that I had to stay up past my bedtime.
We thoroughly enjoyed our guided, night-time kayaking "Glow" trip and paddling in the bioluminescent waters around Tod Inlet. Our guides, Abby and Zoe, were excellent and shared a wealth of knowledge about bioluminescence. Highly recommended.
