We did the Glow Tour with Frances to see the bioluminescence in Tod Inlet, and would recommend it to everyone! The water in this inlet is still so paddling required hardly any effort. We saw jellyfish, a delightful bonus! The light given off by the plankton looks like sparkles coming off the paddles. Between that and the clear starry sky, I felt in awe of nature. Two hours goes by too quickly.
We had a perfect night for a glow tour. Our guides were exceptionally knowlegeable and ensured we got the most out of the tour. Would love to do it again.
My husband and I went on our very first time in an ocean kayak on the bioluminescence tour with Pacifica paddle sports on Thursday. What an incredible experience, Wesley and Francis made us feel comfortable, confident and very supported for people with no ocean experience. The weather was incredible and paddling tour was exceptional - an ocean of glass, a sky full of stars and a wonderful education about the ocean, jelly fish and paddling in the dark with millions of sparkles. We loved and will do it again!
