Had a terrible experience there this evening. Have eaten there many times in the past and had good experiences, but tonight it was terrible. We waited for nearly an hour for our table. I saw several clean tables available for seating so I thought I would ask about sitting at one of them with my party of three. I was told they needed to put glasses on the table and I thought "no problem". Ten minutes later the hostess wanted to sit us right next to the busy front entrance away from the other available tables. I asked for the ... read more
great happy hour. i can't really say best i ever had but i would go back. waitress lacked quality. one of my pet peeves at any restaurant is a refill of water. especially if you have any kind of alcohol. you shouldn't even have to ask for it.
Fresh Sushi and Great Atmosphere are just the Start – Having lived in Sarasota for years, we are regulars at this restaurant whenever we are in the area. The service is always quick, and the sushi is always fresh, without question. They have foods for all palates, from the bold (Ginger) to the sweet (Coconut). The stir fry is also excellent. We also always notice that the food is always fresh. No complaints, would most definitely recommend visiting, even if it is a bit out of the way.
great food many vegetarian options.
SO GOOD! – I can't believe this restaurant had a bad review. I have been going there for years and it is consistently delicious. The sushi rocks, the dumplings are to die for and even non-sushi lovers will enjoy the multitude of offerings. We love the pad thai and pad prik. We always have the edamame and spring rolls to start. It does get busy but thanks to a great bar, we don't mind the wait!
Chaotic and Extreme taste – The place is romantic however the value of the place lost its meaning when a restaurant does NOT offer a good taste of food. The taste of the food is basically a chaos! One of them was very very sweet, the other was both very very sweet and salty ... I tried to endure eating it ... but sorry I could not even eat anymore of those. It seems the chef was confused with their identity of serving both Japanese and Thai food .... and the result: neither of them taste what they should be, which resulted i... read more
Decent...but not great! – Average asian cuisine for the most part. So-so miso soup, pad thai, chicken teriyaki, and soft-shell crab special. Sushi was variable, some not much better than your local supermarket while others (try the "Atlantic" roll) was much more memorable and tasty. Service was efficient, but sushi orders were brought at various times, some a minute or two before the main course.
