Do not stay at this hotel. I am a responsible 20 year old on a road trip back to college. I booked a one night stay and was turned away after paying for my room (and driving 12 hours) because I am 20 years old. They stated the hotel policy does not allow guests under the age of 21 as the responsible party. This is NOT listed ANYWHERE on their website, on Hotels.com website, and their listing with Expedia.com explicitly states guests must be 18 years of age or older. I got an economy queen the room was clean. The bathroom was big. I had my own parking spot. It’s in a great location in downtown Gold Beach. Great coffee across the street. Easy path to get to the beach a light show was cool projector screen was awesome. I would go back.
The room itself was not my favorite could be updated a bit more. However being walking access to the beach was so perfect that the room didn’t mean much after that. We also enjoyed the hot tub which was perfectly heated and had great lighting. I would stay here again just maybe a different room style
We stayed here on the night of 8/5/2025 and enjoyed our time tremendously. The staff was friendly and our room was clean. It was nice to see the ocean. and hear the waves. outside My wife and I enjoyed the movie/light show. I stay in a lot of chain hotels but really enjoyed the charm and character of the Pacific Reef Hotel.
The smell and sound of the ocean at night, the solitude feel of the rooms, and conveniently located. The room was large, comfortable and SUPER clean, and easy beach access I couldn't ask for more
