PQ was truly transformative for my 15-year-old son. After trying multiple RTCs, this program helped him gain confidence, embrace his identity, and navigate his peer group with ease. Our family had a very positive experience with Pacific Quest. Our son went through the adolescent program. His counselor, Alex, was simply fantastic. Our 22 year old son participated in the Young Adult program. The program helped him to address underlying issues that contributed to his personal struggles. His work with therapist Alex was excellent, and Alex's work with us as parents was extremely positive as well. The horticulture component of the program was somewhat more limited than expected, but our son chose to get more deeply invovled with it. Our daughter was having difficulty in many areas and we were at our wits end. We researched many wilderness programs and PQ. PQ which is a hybrid program was a great fit for our daughter which she just finished. My wife and I strongly believe she is ready to move back home, thanks to the great work she and the staff did with her at PQ. As an added bonus the PQ family program provided our entire family with tools to improve our family relationships. We are very optimistic for our daughter and our family thanks to PQ.
They do not verify if adolescents were being physically abused by their parents and will force the child to change just to send them back to an abusive home.
