So we are having a power outage. We had one during the summer that took them 8 hours just to come reset at our pole. Now I've reported an outage and the message said crews have already been alerted. The power has been out since midnight. My question is why didn't the message say our crews are working on it? My father in law worked for the benton pud so we know that there are supposed to be people on call in case of an outage. It's unacceptable in the year 2025 to be 7 hours without power. They decided to close my account for no reason, refused to tell me why they closed it but told me i will have until Monday morning at 7: 30 am to figure out my meter for my studio apartment. (I don't have a meter and they still closed it)
Power outages at least once a month since July 1st. The one tonight from midnight. Now 4am and still off. They say it is due to work being done to prevent fires. As such, and as they send an email after the power goes off, it seems logical, they would be able to give advanced notification, so customers can plan ahead. My 90 year old mother is stuck in her power recliner.
