Very unique and exceptional experience, hard to find places that work with raptors. We splurged for the closest encounter and took turns with others having holding a falcon and having a screech owl and a hawk fly to and from our hand. The general admissions also had a flying demonstration, including a bald eagle, a turkey vulture, and a great horned owl. Of course there are exhibits too. We had an amazing time on the closest experience, getting up close with these beautiful birds. The flying display was also spectacular, especially as you had to duck as the birds expertly buzzed the audience. All in all an educational and fun experience.

We were passing through Duncan prior to visiting Chemainus and couldn't pass up a chance to do a hawk walk! I chose the Closer option - a 15-20 minute walk with the chance to glove up and have the hawk land on your hand a couple of times. We had a group of six so the hike wasn't strenuous but lasted long enough to be at a few different hawk friendly sites. Chelsea was our guide and she was funny and informative.
