Applied through a broker and Pacific Life was the best quote for term life. $500k 30yr term life policy, top tier health $37/mo. Didn’t hear anything for about a month, then got an email that they were requesting blood work from my PCP. Most 30yr olds with zero health issues don’t get blood work done. Circular reasoning used by their underwriters, healthy young people don’t get blood work but we need blood work to prove you’re healthy. PacLife is a great place to work. I believe this company truly values and cares for its policy holders.
I’m extremely disappointed with Pacific Life. My life insurance policy was allowed to lapse without proper notice, and when I reinstated it, they applied it retroactively 8 months back—charging me for coverage I did not receive. Now they’re refusing to issue a refund, citing a vague claim that they “mailed a letter.” One letter eventually showed up two months late with no postmark to prove when it was actually sent.
