Refuses to give estimates of treatment costs for an egg freezing cycle before consultation, which would cost $350. Have never had this experience at any other location, including their Westwood one. So I could spend $350 for a consult only to find out they are charging exorbitant amounts for the cycle. Person on the phone says 'it would depend on many factors' but refuses to define what - how would storage, retrieval, anesthesia be 'dependent' when other clinics have been able to offer a firm price? Feels predatory.
There’s no way to call them or get a call back. On the patient portal, only one third of my questions get answered. Otherwise, the average response time is one week (up to three weeks for a simple question). Some of the responses with medical instructions aren’t even written in proper English to the point I can’t even follow the instructions because I have no idea what to do (no comprendo espanol por favor), and don’t even have a way to get someone to respond within a week on what I’m supposed to be doing. Dr. Evans and her team are the BEST. I cannot say enough wonderful things about PFCLA. They were so communicative and professional throughout the egg freezing process. And they assign a dedicated manager to walk you through each step of the process, as well as someone else for billing/insurance. A note that some of their more major procedures are at their Westwood office, which is larger.
Truly the best fertility center in LA. Going through fertility treatments can be one of the most mentally, physically, and emotionally difficult things in your life but with PFCLA, they made our experience as comfortable and positive as possible. From the very beginning, Dr Sepilian and Mary (coordinator) made us feel heard and cared for, and treated us like humans and not just another patient.
