Inaccurate! – I took my older model toyota into Pacific Rim based on all the great web reviews and because I suspected problems with the transmission and explained to them the tranny caused a bad noise in 5th gear when on the freeway. When I returned to pay the $100 fee for them to look at my car they said that a) they couldn't find any problems with the transmission and b) that my water pump was dangerously loose in the car and causing a knocking noise. A few minutes later I heard the mechanic tell another guy that its hard to get cars up to 60 mph "in this area because of all the stop lights". So clearly they did not take my car on the freeway even though I paid them $100 to find out the problem. What's worse, I took the car to a second mechanic who then removed the water pump for cheaper (out of state) and then when I turned the car on the knocking noise was still there (this is my stupid fault because I trusted Pac Rim on their water pump assesment. I should have doubted them and asked the new mechanic for a brand new diagnosis.) It turns out that the AC converter is knocking loose. So I paid Pac Rim $100 to not investigate my original claim and give me a false assesment of a knocking noise. Great. They basically did a crappy job or a rushed job or a totally wrong job assessing my car. As a younger female I really need mechanics to be honest and thorough, I don't know that much about cars. I will never return here.
