Normally, I wouldn't comment on the construction of a house we were renting, but oh my gosh what a nightmare it has been for the past two years in this supposedly brand new house. Over the course of the first year, when the Landlords still had a warranty, we were responsible for coordinating with the builders to repair all of these issues that were found to be wrong with the property. These homes are built fast and poorly. They have a 1 year VERY limited warranty and a 10 year even MORE limited warranty. Apparently, installing cabinets into studs is not considered important and when they start falling off the wall in less than 5 years, Pacesetter, Prohome, and Maverick will all tell you this is part of "normal homeowner maintenance". I've lived in homes much older than this and with much heavier things in the cabinets and I've NEVER seen cabinets separating from the wall this much. Even in places that cle... read more
